Photography is about selection

Once you reach a certain level as a photographer, you can compose a shot, you know how to use your feet, you understand light, you use the aperture to control depth of field, the shutter speed to portray dynamic it comes down to other factors — taste, sensibility, self-control, standards, post-processing, style, communication and most essentially feeling. There is no point putting out shit. If we are our own harshest critics and only release photos that we feel meet our own specific standards then we stand a chance that others may think we are half-decent photographers.
